Job Description

We are currently recruiting for two Bioanalytical Technicians to work within an expanding team at our Alnwick site.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a scientific technician to join the Bioanalytical Services team.

The key tasks of the position are:

  • Support the day to day laboratory activities of a busy scientific laboratory, ensuring that a regular supply of all bioanalytical consumables is maintained (including purchasing, storage and monitoring)
  • Verification of laboratory equipment and preparation of chemical reagents and solutions in a manner that complies with Good Laboratory Practice and ARCINOVA procedures.
  • Maintain clean and organised laboratory areas and responsible for waste streams.
  • Ensure work is conducted in compliance with relevant regulatory, ARCINOVA and client requirements.
  • Work with due regard to health and safety of self and others and work flexibly to meet ARCINOVA‚Äôs business needs.


Full and comprehensive training will be provided, and the successful candidate should have a minimum of two A levels (at least one in a scientific subject), 5 GCSEs (including English and mathematics) and be open and willing to learn new skills. You should be able to demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral, and must be self-motivated.  A high level of attention to detail, personal integrity and commitment is essential, as is a flexible approach to new work challenges.
