Arcinova hosts Guinness World Record Holder for STEM Christmas Lecture
We were proud to invite over 150 local schoolchildren to attend a STEM Ambassador Hub North East Christmas Lecture at our facility this month. The event gave pupils from across North Northumberland the chance to take part in an exciting STEM outreach initiative and learn from a real-life adventurer.
Extreme athlete and explorer, Ash Dykes, shared his incredible experience as the first person to traverse the 4,000-mile length of the Yangtze river in China on foot. As part of his lecture at Arcinova, he shared tales of “Gertrude the Chicken”, his encounters with bears, wolves and crocodiles, and the unforgettable story of the Pasha worm!
